The San Jose SaberCats proved why they were the favorites in Arena Bowl XXI today as their precision offense could not be stopped by the Columbus Destroyers’ defense. Scoring 8 TDsin 9 possessions behind QB Matt Grieb, the SaberCats won their 3rd Arena Bowl Championship in 6 years in defeating the Columbus Destroyers by a score of 55-33. With the 3 Arena Bowl Championships, the SaberCats now site in 3rd place for all-time Arena Football League Arena Bowl Championship.

Destroyers trying to make a Arena Bowl comeback
The Columbus Destroyers are in a tough spot - down 48-27 with just under 4:30 remaining in Arena Bowl XXI - but a comeback is what the Destroyers and their fans have on their minds. Consecutive passes to WR Cole Magner from Matt Nagy have the Destroyers at midfield in desperate need of a touchdown to stay in the game.

Columbus Destroyers to face San Jose SaberCats in the 2007 ArenaBowl
The Columbus Destroyers continued their improbable run on Saturday as they advanced to the ArenaBowl in defeating the Georgia Force 66-56. The Destroyers were led by QB Matt Nagy who threw for 5 TD and ran for 2 more in facing the team that dealt him away just two years ago. Columbus used a 28 point 2nd quarter to take a 35-21 halftime lead and held on late as Georgia attempted a last-second comeback.
Columbus will face the San Jose SaberCats for the 2007 ArenaBowl on Saturday, July 29th @ 3 pm ET.

Destroyers advance in upset of Dallas
Despite a 35-21 deficit late in the 2nd quarter, the Columbus Destroyers were able to pull a huge upset on Saturday night in the Arena Football League playoffs. Playing in front of a crowd of 15,572 in Dallas, the Destroyers surprised the #1-seeded Dallas Desperados 66-59 to advance to the National Conference Championship on Saturday, July 14th @ 1 pm on ESPN.

Destroyers advance with upset of TB Storm
The Columbus Destroyers picked up the franchise’s first playoff victory on Saturday as Columbus upset the Tampa Bay Storm 56-55. With the win, the #6-seeded Destroyers advance to face the Arena League’s Dallas Desperados on Saturday, July 7th at 8 pm on ESPN.

Arena Football Playoffs: Columbus ties TB at 7
The Arena League Football Playoffs have begun and the Columbus Destroyers have tied the Tampa Bay Storm early at 7-7. QB Matt Nagy hit WR Damien Groce with a long TD pass to tie the score at 7 as both teams have scored on their opening possessions.
