Ohio teams are having a record season as the 13 Division I college basketball programs in the state of Ohio are all ranked in the RPI Top 200. Even more impressive, 10 of the Top 100 in the RPI this season are Ohio college basketball programs.
This week’s biggest loser is Cleveland State, who was ranked #50 in the RPI after upsetting Butler but has since lost 4 of 6 to drop to #86 today. With 4 straight losses YSU has also dropped 23 spots to #200 and despite 5 straight wins overall, the poor competition of the MAC West has dropped Ohio from #36 to #49 today.
